The trade union organizations have united in a coalition and signed a joint statement requiring the conduct of free collective negotiations to establish new wage rates. They expressed discontent with the refusal of the government to approve agreements of the parties that do not satisfy it in order to impose a fictitious reality of the general inflation rate.

The agreements were signed by unions such as the Trade Union of Workers in Extraction and Processing of Oil, the Association of Higher Staff of Energy Enterprises, the Banking Trade Union, the Association of Professional Personnel of the Natural Gas Industry, and others. They advocate for an increase in the minimum, subsistence, and mobility wages, legally stipulated in advance.

The unions also expressed protest against illegal wage reductions by 15% due to erroneous calculations of inflation in 2024. They also call for the repeal of a series of laws and amendments presented to the president to ensure free collective negotiations and the observance of constitutional and legal minimum wage norms.

The unions note that the minimum wage determined by the government is six times lower than the legally established one, which, in their opinion, excludes the possibility of a satisfactory livelihood for workers. They also criticize attempts to privatize the National Bank and other state enterprises.

It should be noted that the Mesa Sindical, which includes representatives of various unions, supports the methods of the government in measuring the inflation level, considering that they do not correspond to the actual situation. In recent statements, they emphasized the necessity to resist cuts in funding for education, healthcare, science, and technology, which affect the quality of life of society.
